Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School

March 24, 2020

As our lives are constantly changing, and that impacts each of you, we want to openly communicate with you our plans as they continue to evolve. Previously, we had discussed and planned a school pick up line for educational packets. Going forward after Governor Inslee’s stay at home order, we are not going to ask parents to leave their homes to pick those up. Here is our next plan of action:

  • Please log into to your RenWeb account TODAY without delay. We NEED to have your current information, address, email and phone number. Please complete this for us NO LATER than 8am tomorrow (Wednesday the 25th), do not assume what we have is current or correct.
  • Beginning Monday, March 30th, our staff will be delivering your students educational packets to your doorstep. They will be handled with gloves and we will knock then walk away, we will not be visiting or having contact in anyway. More specifics will be sent to you before deliver these packets.
  • If you are a split household, please communicate with the office which home your child will be at so that as we deliver packets, we get it to the correct location.
  • If your home does not have an electronic device that allows your student to access e-Learning, please contact Jessica Minden IMMEDIATELY via email (jminden@mgaes.org). With a deposit, we have a very limited amount of chromebooks we are able to loan. These will be distributed based on need. We ask that you are honest about your students needs. Tablets, phones and computers/laptops are acceptable devices for eLearning. When requesting a chromebook, please state which student will be using. Also, please note that our chromebooks are educational devices and will still be monitored by staff remotely for usage, just as they are when they are on campus.
Why is MGAES providing eLearning?

We understand this may be a question you are asking. You may have already read the email from our Oregon Conference Education Vice President discussing eLearning. We want you to know that at MGAES we pride ourselves in exceptional education. While not every school may be providing e-Learning moving forward, we are committed to providing for our students and our teachers are working extra hours to provide a complete academic program that will continue to move academic learning forward. They are pouring their hearts into creating content videos, learning packets and committing to be available for your students during distance learning. Please direct any questions or concerns you have to the office, we are still holding office hours remotely and are available to help.
