Job Opportunities for the 2021-22 School Year
Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School located in North Clark County, Washington—serves students in Kindergarten through grade eight. MGAES provides a family-oriented Christian atmosphere and we are intentional about developing students who are serious about their studies and living out their faith from a Biblical world-view as stated in our school vision, mission and motto.
Hours: Part Time – Approximately 25 hours per week. M-F early mornings, 6:30AM – 8:30AM and afternoons, M-TH 2:45PM – 5:30PM and Fridays 1:45PM – 3:30PM
Requirements/Experience: Have a commercial drivers license (CDL ) class B or above with passenger endorsement, or be willing and able to obtain one. Be flexible and available when needed during the school day for field trips. Be an active member of the SDA church. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed. Hours: Approximately 12 hours a week, Monday-Friday
The librarian will support MGAES teachers in creating lifelong readers and learners. The librarian will be aware of a variety of media resources and be able to connect learners with these resources and provide a safe learning environment for students. The person who takes on this position will also coordinate the Book Fair in the fall and spring.
KidZone Assistant (Part-Time)
Hours: Approximately 22 hours a week, Monday-Friday
Kid Zone Assistant will report to the Kid Zone Supervisor and will provide extended care and supervision for students attending MGAES before and after school. This position can be split between two people (a 1-hour AM shift Mon.-Fri., and a 3-hour PM shift Mon.-Thurs. and 2 hr shift on Fri. afternoon). Required: A current First Aid/CPR card and Driver’s License.
Guest Teachers/Substitutes (On-Call)
Classroom Teacher, Support Personnel including Secretary, Library, Teacher Aide, Kid Zone from 3.5 hours to 7 hours per assignment (willingness and flexibility to accept jobs both in advance and last minute).
All part-time positions begin one week prior to the start of the school year and finish one week after the school year concludes. The positions require individuals who can keep confidentiality, have basic computer skills including working knowledge of office machines, computer software e.g. MS Office and Adobe products, and a cleared background check with the Oregon Conference of SDA.
