Job Opportunities for the 2023-2024 School Year
Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School located in North Clark County, Washington—serves students in Kindergarten through grade eight. Facilities and Transportation Manager
This person will oversee all physical plant services and the bus fleet. The position requires an individual who is highly organized and can manage multiple tasks/projects at one time. The individual supervises employee(s) and is also a part of the team that provides maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and grounds for Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School. This person will oversee and coordinate the school transportation program, including the maintenance of the fleet and school equipment.
Hours: Full-Time – 40 hours per week, with some weekend and on-call work.
Pay Rate/Benefits: Hourly Rate between $29-$32.00 per hour. Wages and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy, and based on education, training and experience.
Requirements/Experience: High School diploma with at least three years experience, with preference given to individuals who have worked in a school setting and possess certifications and/or licenses in building contracting and maintenance of mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer and ANSI guidelines. Candidates must have or have the ability to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement, a cleared background check on file with the employing organization (Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists), and have a current First Aid/CPR certification.
P.E. Teacher (Part-Time)
This person will instruct and perform responsible work in the primary grades in collaboration with Physical Education Teacher.
Hours: Approximately 3 hours a week (1.5 hours x 2 days)
Pay Rate/Benefits: Hourly Rate between $25-$26.75 per hour. Hourly rate and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy, and based on education, training and experience.
Teacher Aide (Part-Time)
This person is a caring and responsible individual tasked to work under the direction of an assigned grade level/classroom teacher(s). Prior experience working with children is highly desired and a background in early childhood education or coursework related to education.
Hours: Approximately 20-28 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Pay Rate/Benefits: $20.00 to $21.25 per hour. Hourly rate and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy, and based on education, training and experience.
Substitute Bus Driver
Hours: Part Time – Approximately 25 hours per week. M-F early mornings, 6:30AM – 8:30AM and afternoons, M-TH 2:45PM – 5:30PM and Fridays 1:45PM – 3:30PM
Pay Rate/Benefits: Hourly Rate $26.00 to $35.00 per hour. Wages and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy, and based on education, training and experience.
Requirements/Experience: Have a commercial drivers license (CDL ) class B or above with passenger endorsement, or be willing and able to obtain one. Be flexible and available when needed during the school day for field trips.
Substitute Teachers/Substitute Support Rolls (On-Call)
Classroom Teacher, Support Personnel including Secretary, Library, Teacher Aide, Kid Zone from 3.5 hours to 7 hours per assignment (willingness and flexibility to accept jobs both in advance and last minute).
All part-time positions begin one week prior to the start of the school year and finish one week after the school year concludes. The positions require individuals who can keep confidentiality, have basic computer skills including working knowledge of office machines, computer software e.g. MS Office and Adobe products, and a cleared background check with the Oregon Conference of SDA.
